I thought I’d share some of my submissions for #dailylogochallenge. Daily Logo Challenge is a series of miniature briefs that designers can use to improve their logo design skills… a whopping 50 briefs in total (hats off to Harris for taking the time to put all this together!).
Rather than sticking with the ‘50 consecutive days’ routine of the challenge like most others do, I prefer to just work on them whenever I can fit them in. This allows me to put some more time into them and I don’t feel like I have to rush.
What I find most exciting about the challenge is that it gives me chance to explore some styles that I’ve not really had chance to use on client projects so far. I am keen to get a lot of variety of styles throughout my logos rather than just automatically making everything look really sleek and contemporary.
Although I still have a long way to go before finishing all 50, I can safely say my logo design skills have improved a lot after working on this — I plan to post them in batches of 10 on my blog, so keep your eyes peeled for logos 11–20! At some point I also plan to roll-out some of my logos into bigger, fictional branding projects.
