My role for this project was to design a directory of arts & culture businesses and organisations in Liverpool. It was designed to help the private sector realise new partnerships with Liverpool’s creative organisations and to be handed out during International Festival for Business 2016.
Liverpool mayor, Joe Anderson, describes culture as being ‘the rocket fuel of regeneration’ in the book’s introduction. Therefore I created a series of ‘developing’ patterns to be used in the typography on the cover and in the book’s headlines to convey the idea of regeneration. I gave the overall design quite a contemporary look in order to complement the nature of the brochure’s content.
